Mark Obenshain is crazy if he thinks he can portray himself as a firend to the hunting community and someone who has fought to protect private property owner's rights. He can't hide his years of history fighting to restrict still hunters from going into the woods on Sunday. I'll be supporting him because of other issues but I won't be voting for him because of his Voter ID law.
He's better as an AG than he would be as a Senator because I can't imagine any AG involvement in hunting matters at all. That leaves his spot open for the Shenandoah people to elect a Pro Gun, Pro Sunday Hunting, Pro Constitution, Senator.
The voter ID bill is another matter and I doubt I'd get much support here for my feelings or opposition to it.

I may not agree, but I would love to read your thoughts on this too. Who knows, you might change a mind or two...

There are a couple of sides to it. The rational side is that it won't even dent voter fraud. ID's are easy to make and there are a lot of deliberate loopholes in the law. If they wanted to minimize voter fraud, make it a felony and start prosecuting people instead of just talking about it. There are enoug Nazi laws on the books already without adding another. On the Personal and not so rational side..... I don't like ID's and I don't like being told what to do. I don't wear a seat belt. I used to until they passed a law saying I had to. I don't wear blaze orange. I don't have a CHP and I do't show ID unless I'm up to something. Mark said in one of his speeches that everyone had a Social Security Card ....I reminded him that I hadn't had one since 1972. Don't have any plans to replace it either.
