My wife and I have been looking at houses for a while trying to figure out what we really want/need. Since she works from home for the government (Teleworks with the Forest Service), we need some place that has high-speed internet service. For a while we were looking at places that had 10-50 acres of land as someplace that I could hunt at when I got home after work however none of them were conducive to her work (or price was too high). Even then, our two youngest girls really are social and taking them out of a neighborhood setting didn't seem right either.
Well, we found something that fits all of our needs...not hunting though, fishing. We are seriously looking at waterfront houses on Lake Caroline. It will be an additional 20 minute commute for me but it will be pretty dang cool to live on a 277 acre lake. They even have a bass tournament there every Wednesday evening! It will be nice living closer to Greentop and BPS as well! We're touring the neighborhood tomorrow with our realtor, even getting a tour by boat there. If we like it, looks like all of those little jobs on the house I 've been putting off will have to get done!

Most? Nope...I had so much stuff from years of fishing tournaments that it was out of control. I still kept all of my "good stuff"...not that the things I sold were bad, just that they weren't ever going to get used by me.
You have to understand, I had at least 10K worth of tackle in my garage! LOL! I had hundreds of pounds of soft plastics that were never going to see the light of day!
If I can't have land to hunt on, living on a lake that I can fish whenever I want is the next best thing. Finally get some use out of the boat too!

It's official, my house is officially on the market! I'm still kind of shocked about it...I'll get over the shock when it finally sells and we move into a lakefront home and I'm out fishing on it every evening! ;D

I used to fish with my old supervisor on the Wed night tournaments. The fishing in there was very good. I wish you the best of luck there
