Yup, it's definately early. And for most bow hunting is first on the agenda, but with the "regular" ammo shortage keep on the lookout for your powder and primers everytime your in a store that has them. I'm glad that I stocked up with 5lb containers of BH209 and enough CCI 209M primers to probably last my lifetime. But rest assured ifn I see them, they will come home with me! A note though... I havent seen a shortage of bullets... interesting. Cheers

I stocked up on primers and powder pellets after hunting season was over with. Same thing with Turkey hunting - I just checked at Walmart yesterday and came home with a pile of stuff for next year. Insanely CHEAP

Yeah I've heard of a lot of guys dumping loose powder in the newest muzzle loaders on the market. Pretty cool, I like the pellets myself because they are very fast and easy to reload, but loose powder is a great idea, I may just try it and see how my gun likes it.

My old Knight loved loose powder. I found her sweet spot and was shooting 1" groups at 100 yards. I hate myself for selling that rifle.

Loose powder ignites better! I use real black powder that I make so I've been stocking up on the ingredients. I buy them from fireworks suppliers and I expect they will start getting hard to find soon.
I'll be using a Savage ML-10 for the first time this year so I've stocked up on Smokless for it as well as Sabots.

I want a ML10 so badly. I shot my buddies last year and had to have one until I saw the price tag.

Well...yeah, they cost $700.00 Brandon but consider the cost of a real ML. Most of the ones I built and sold were between &1500.00 and $2000.00. I think Dennis Glazner is getting that for his mountain rifles if Dennis is even making them anymore. Don Stith is going to be higher for his Hawkins.
If you just have to go with an inline, a modified Remington 700 is going to go for at least a grand and the Encores for $999.00 each.
I can't say I'd buy anything else unless I flat couldn't afford one of the above.
Savage has stopped making them again and who knows if they'll start again. Better get one if you really want it.
