I think we need a contest here. How about a tick bite contest? The most tick bites in a certain week wins

ive got 17 bites and i have heard that as long as they dont stay attached for more than 24 hours your safe from getting any kind of disease or affliction from them, not sure if its true or not

It is supposed to take at least 24 hours for the bacteria that causes Lyme disease to be transported into you...that being said, I've read conflicting reports on Lyme and how it possibly can be transmitted via other means as well.

is it most bites or most ticks? i didn;t get bit but i bet i've had the most ticks, considering i killed 138 individuals that were crawling around my truck cab and i still had a solid mass of brown on my shirt when i took it off and stuffed it in a garbage bag along with every other stitch of clothing i was wearing at the time after a spring turkey hunt two years ago.

I am a tick magnet but have found a great spray. Got it from that other site. But it's Bonide Eight - Insect Control which is mainly permethrin. First thing I have found to actually work. Just be sure to use it as directed. 5 parts water to 1 part Eight. Don't spray it on your skin ! Hopefully will pick up some more helpful hints over here.
