Is there anyone interested in starting an archery club, or do you know of a group of "laid back hunters" that would enjoy starting one. I'd like to network a few "Urban Archers" and find good spots to hunt for everyone. Where I live, there are plenty of deer, but the poaching is pretty intense and the deer are nocturnal for the most part. I'm originally from Maryland, and the archery there is phenomenal, mainly due to low pressure and the availability of small farms/woodlots that attract good herds, without dog pressure. I'm not against dog hunting or gun hunting, I enjoy them both, it just seems the deer in Maryland are more "laid back", easier to track and predict. I thought that a network of ethical archers could join forces and scoop up some "urban, problem deer areas" to hunt. What you think???

I would be very interested in developing an archery club. Since moving here in April, I have made little progress in developing any network of hunters with experience or lands in the NRV area. Ideally, Id love to get a lease started with a few good bow hunters that have interest in managing a modest amount of land.
Shoot me a text message at 770-810-5265 if you want to talk about some options. Also, as this will be my first season hunting National Forest lands, I would just love to have a peer group with some experience on the issues that don't make themselves very clear on the GWJNF website.
Best, Grant
