I do not think so Neal, however I do suspect there is a connection between deer and turkeys. Just from what I have observed over the years.

It is hard to explain, but your chances of success when deer and turkeys are together goes down dramatically. It is like they use each other's strengths. Turkeys have better eye sight than deer and deer have better smell. They both have good hearing. If one or the other detects danger, they are both gone.

hmmm I see. Thats why I always thought it would be nice to use that to your advantage. If your in the woods where turkey like to roam and your making too much noise... just give out a few turkey calls. Then the deer wont think much of it... good idea? yay or nay...

No, they yelp all year. At least the hens do. That is how they get together when they get off the roost in the morning and if the gang gets busted up. It could be 15-25 birds in a gang of hens and if you do something to scare them, there definitley be a ruckus in the woods.

well I'm not sure but I've seen a lot of crows making a lot of noise and then a deer walked out,but it was before hunting season maybe it's something to it after all sure would like to know too.
