listen to the other aminuls......some may scough, but I have been tipped off several times by a barking squirrel or chipmunk that something else is coming! sometimes its a deer!

wttail is correct. A squirrel does not bark his head off for nothing. He is either barking at you or an intruder that he thinks is going to eat their acorns. I have been alerted many times by squirrels. Most of the time it is a deer they are barking at. The deer ignores the squirrel.

Do yall think that birds alert other animals such as deer if they see you in the tree? The reason im asking is that I have been paying attention to the birds around me and some of them do a really loud noise and they will do it for like 5 minutes and then fly off! I didnt know if it was a warning thing or what. But alot of times they do it I dont see any deer!
