Bow tuning Here's some info on bow tuning... This PDF file has some interesting tuning methods and gives good diagrams... the drawback is that it's primarily geared towards traditional shooters (the guide was written in 1998 and therefore may be a bit outdated for modern compound shooters especially since the invention of level nock travel bows)... there is still some useful information for compound users but the discussion on adjusting brace height is a mute point since compounds have a set brace height... www.tenzone.u-net.com/Equipment/t...ning01.pdf This article from Bowhunting World is good because it discusses timing your cams. As the article says, two-cam systems need to have the cams synched properly or you'll get some rather funky arrow flight... Also, I disagree slightly with the assessment that practice arrows need to group exactly the same as your broadheads... Yeah right, maybe in a perfect world... We all know from experience that broadheads, especially fixed blades rarely group exactly the same as a field point. The weight distribution and aerodynamics are different so they probly won't group exaclty the same without some tinkering on the broadhead if not your bow... That being said there's still some good info here... www.bowhunting.com/publisher/Bowh...ing-basics If I can get Hubby to help me I'll try to put together a post (maybe with pics) on how he does a basic tuneup on a bow...
