was going through some of my bow lesson material and came across this... www.bowtuningtips.com/index.html The name is a bit misleading in that it calls itself bow tuning, but when you look at the video listings, it's more bow set-up than anything... I've watched several of the videos and they are pretty good. There's a few things that I don't agree with for example when you watch the video on tying a D-Loop, he puts both knots facing the same direction. When I tie a D-Loop, I put the knots facing opposite directions so the loop won't rotate around the string the more you shoot... Kind of a little thing but it can lead to some big frustration down the road. Also, he doesn't show yet how to install a tubelss peep sight. That being said, he's got some good info on setting up various rests and sights, mostly geared towards the bowhunter. If you want to take it a step further towards more precise set-ups and maybe towards competition shooting, then there isn't alot here, but the basics of set up are covered pretty well with good video demontrations.

You know AC, it's gotten so complicated I may never go back to a compound. I hate releases...hate em, hate em.....hate em.
I started on a recurve and finger shot without a glove or tab or sights for that matter, and may go back to one....but I do admit I like my Buckiesfavoritelegalhorizontalshoulderfiredboltshootingdevices.

It definitly can be complicated and confusing. But the basic principles don't change. Having a good pro shop or a good club nearby helps cuz you can pick the brains of folks who have "been there done that".
